Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

1988 Honda Crx — This car was a clunker when I bought it for $1000 with a new cat back stainless steel exhaust. Over 5 years I had the rust repaired (well covered up with bondo), Installed a new clutch, timing belt, water pump, alternator belt, 3 alternators (gotta love the O'rielly warranty), new front brake calipers, pads, tires, taillight (was cracked from previous owner), radiator, stitched up both front seats, cleaned K&N filter, installed ceramic coated headers, im sure there is more I am forgetting. All in all I put 80,000 hard miles on this vehicle, taught 2 people how to drive a stick on it, got 40 mpg, and it never left me stranded. This vehicle is a great example of Honda quality and engineering.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: very reliable, great gas mileage

Cons: slow, doesnt stop great, no A/C, no power steering, 2 seats

One Of Hondas Best Cars — my car is a dx so it came with a 98 hp carb. engine. it is pretty slow for now. it has 220k on it, but hondas build the best engine heads so this thing will run forever. i get around 30-35 mpg. its a good gas saver. the interior is nice i put seat covers on the stock seats. theyre pretty comfy. overall the crx is a very good car.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: fun, lightest honda frame, sexy

    Cons: 98 hp carburated engine

First Car..most Loved Car !!! — The only 2 seater was awsome i loved my little car of course I had alot more then stock done to it motor, Interior exterior and rims/tires the works ... I loved my first car i put over $4 k into it total to make it my own. Navy blue on white paint sceme with lots of aftermarket parts.. the car cost me $800 to buy and sold for $3 k ..With a turbo in a 4 cylinder and a lead foot gas milage sucked but $15 always filled the tank and then some...Top speed 145 mph at 7,100 RPM..

Pros: The motor was my favorite.

Cons: I had to sell it..There was no negative about it

2nd Gen Crx Was The Best! — Best little damn car ever! I always had the si's - Recaro seats with side bolsters, great ergonomics - handles like a go cart - fantastic gas mileage.... FUN FUN FUN! I had 4 of them over a period of several years, (2nd gen - 88 - 91) and may go back again! (it's an illness other CRX fans may understand!) Also - they are great for sound systems because of the tight quarters. :) 88 was the only year that didn't have the passive restraint attached to the door - it weighed less, and was the best for a track car..... but the 90 and 91 had disc brakes all around.... their all good, though!

Pros: small, nimble, economical, ergonomic, attractive, fun

    Cons: front wheel drive

Honda Crx — it was fast and had the best handling u can find! it is a cheap buy, and gets really good gas mileage. it has only 2 seats. you can upgrade the hell out of it though. mine was white with a black hood. looked like it got shot up too! but overall that was my first car and i miss it.

    Pros: Fast

    Cons: Ugly

Handled Like A Dream — Unfortunately I only had the DX model, so performance wasn't really one of the cars highlight. However, as far as handling goes, it was amazing. When you look at the car you'd think wow that car is really small and probably a death trap. On the contrare, after going through an 8in in diameter fence post and then head on into abuot a 3ft in diameter oak tree, the car only had the front right side of the car all messed up. Well and some of the undercarriage from the fence post going up under the car.

Pros: Handling: absolutely amazing. Interior: sporty look and feel  Gas Mileage: got amazing gas mileage, anywhere between 35-40mpg

Cons: Hatch: rear struts tend to blow out. Engine: only a 1.5L 4 cyl.  that puts out under 100hp, engine swap definitely recomended, not necessarily needed, for performace.

A Little Car With Alot Of Potential — Many people love the crx for its lightweight body and great gas mileage. This is a unique car because it can be swapped with any other Honda motor to make big power out of a small car. Its a great project car and for a car thats worth a grand, id says its worth it.

Pros: Cars MaAaAd LIGHT!! 2100 pounds
    2 Seaters RUles!!
The Hf can get almost 50 mpg, while the si gets around 30

    Cons: STOCK MOTORS SUCK
Did kinda bad on the safety tests
Not for tall people, unless you have racing seat :-D

Nimble! — nice enthusiasts' car. +/-30 mpg and plenty of zip, great for a late 80s ride! Not to mention it's sexy as hell.

Pros: interior room, handling, reliable, platform potential

Cons: weight distribution, front wheel drive
