German Engineering At Its Best! Not Pricey At All And Doesn't Have Any Gimmicks. — The E30 3-Series BMW, great cars, not pricey today, and have plenty under the hood. It is the end of the more boxy looking BMW designs which to me look much better than the E36 style that follows it, and it remarkably light for what you are getting. You want a fun car? A car that will stick to the road but has a tail end that is always down to play? This is the car you need then.

Pros: Quality construction, good amount of torque and horsepower, sexy, pretty cheap right now

Cons: Twenty year old car, costs a bit more than the Japanese cars to upgrade.

The Most Fun You Can Have With All Your Clothes On. — Introduced to the North America in 1988, the iX suffered from poor sales due to its cost (at $33,000, it was $1,000 less than an M3) and . The reason for the exorbitant pricing was that it came with every option available to the E30 chassis fitted as standard. All '88's came with two doors and a manual gearbox which means that it is a shed load of fun in nearly every situation. My car has Bilstein Sport shocks, H&R Sport Coils, a Jim Conforti engine management chip and a full Supersprint exhaust.

Pros: Handling, power, reliability, price, low weight, feel, stereo and quality.  The only fully mechanical AWD system offered.  Red Paint

Cons: Lame fuel economy (30 mpg on the highway is horrid for a 2900-lb car), people who ask if it's an M3, pre-pubescent 15-year olds who rice out E30's. Rust.  The fact that an automatic transmission is available, repair costs if the PO didn't maintain it. Red Paint

Straigh 6 - Is There Better — I have to say, this was fun toy. BMW has really pulled through when they designed rev-limiter to this car. 6 cylinders makes gordeous sound when you pull 7000rpm and rev it all it got. In slipery weather this thing is _really_ fun but also dangerous in hands of people who hasn't driven rw-drive cars much. Back-end of the car throws so fast when cornering that you cannot really do anything if you are not prepared.

Pros: Fun 10+

Cons: Drinks too much.

Was Actually A 1991 Model..not 1988... — This car is one of about 40 cars i have owned.....exterior was a bit tatty and was barried up some what by the previous owner, had a lovely loud exhaust and some nice alloys (though kerbed really badly), it was lowered all round and certainly turned some heads...

Pros: Fast, loud, nice to look at..(from a distance)..lol

Cons: bodywork bad and the interior was poor..

One Monster Of A Car — Had it for about a year but it was an experience. It tried to bite me several times and i never really had the confidence to push it too far cause the handling at times was so unpridictable. I felt that the driving position wa a bit cramped cause the steering wheel was to o low, but that aside it was a lovely motor.

Pros: built like a rock and very quitck and loads of fun in the dry

Cons: Tail happy and will have u spinning without a thought.

Cruisin' Down The Line! — I bought this car in Aug/07 & it was originally owned by Tom Cruise after he made the movie Risky Business. The car needs to be restorted but runs great and is an eye catcher!

Pros: The stlying, performance and comfort

Cons: She's old and needs alot of TLC

I loved this car. It was terrific for urban driving. Mine was a manual, and it was very fast-shifting. For what it cost, it was a super vehicle.
