944 Turbo — This is by far the nicest car I've owned, but I still need to see what else is out there As far as performance goes, the car is fast for a 200hp car. Once you drive it for a while though you want more. Braking and handling are amazing. Four piston calipers on all four corners, this car hurts to stop fast. After 20 years of being driven with 120k miles, This car is still holding together nicely. I've had to fix a lot of oil leaks which this car is known for, and replaced blown koni shocks in the rear. Other than that, just routine maintenance.

Pros: Awesome car to drive at the limit.

Cons: Expensive if you dont have the hookups.

951 Is The True Model Number For This Car — I think that my car is pretty tight. It is good in all areas. The performance is breath taking. 270 hp and nothing is like a single turbo 4 cyl. cost is not too bad to own, a little maintaing here and there. It's great fun to drive. everyone on earth should have a chance to drive a Porsche at one point of time in there lives.

Pros: Fun to drive, quick, looks good and sounds amazing

Cons: low, kinda old

Awesome Car — This is a turbo model with a chip, which isn't anything extensive but I feel like you get the kick you want without getting too ridiculous and away from the original car. Its great, i love it.

Pros: Drives amazingly, handles great and is very fast for a 4 cylinder, good fuel economy

Cons: Maintenance costs, old car so parts can be expensive

You'll Never Find A Cooler Car For Half The Price Of A Used 90's Volvo. — For a first sports car, this really is about as good as it gets. It's cheap, pretty reliable (mine's running strong at 155k miles), and really fun to drive. Suddenly twisty back roads are desirable rather than annoying. Obviously, I think that this car is really great. Also, hearing the words, "You drive a Porsche?!" never, ever get old.

Pros: Excellent handling, attention getter, can whoop a ricer civic in any kind of race.

Cons: Not enough horsepower to keep up with many modern sports cars. Well loved by 6 owners with a collective 155,000 miles on the clock.

Cheapest Reliable Sports Car Ever Made — A 944 Turbo is very, very fast, it's light, has decent fuel economy, no turbo-lag, and has one of the best weight distributions of any car ever made, almost perfect 50-50. Being a 20 year old car, they are quite cheap (under 10k) and quite reliable. There is still necessary service, such is the case with all old cars, but the 944 is an under the radar, highly attractive fast car that is expected to go nowhere but up in terms of value.

Pros: One of the greatest weight distribution of any car

Cons: Only 220 horses from the 2.5 liter engine, but it still is very fast with the turbocharger

Excellence — Excellent handling and acceleration, snappy steering response and a fun overall "feel". It feels like a rocket ship once you get on the boost. Overall it is a great car but its a little bit expensive to maintain one of these. If you can do the work yourself, this is a real drivers car!

Pros: Acceleration, Handling, Looks Beautiful, Fun & Easy to Drive. A True drivers car if you can appreciate the snappy response.

Cons: Small backseats, expensive to maintain, many things prone to fail whenever you  are using boost.

One Of The Best Handling Porches Pre-2000 — This car has everything a true Porsche fan could love. Almost pure 50/50 balance. Speed. Dependability. Decent gas milage (25 mpg). This car is what I got before I could get the true car of my dreams... a 951.

Pros: Fast.  Perfect handling.  Stops on a dime.

Cons: Getting old.

Porsche's "corvette Killer" — what the car lacks in accelerations, makes up for in handling (remember this is 20 years old) and style.
