50/50 Weight Ratio=monster Cornering — rotary is good FR is good rx7 is good what to say what to say, its an older car that is cheap to purchase and cheap to get power. Its reasonably light weight and has a true sports car feel with the weight distribution and coupe chassi set up. its one of the better true sports cars for its age. many complain about the rotary engine but they honestly have no idea how cheap it is to rebuild. the motor really isnt a problem unless you mistreat it, just like the piston engine. ive heard of more piston blow outs than rotaries failing so ha Pros: high revs, attracts women, FR, has 4 wheels, has 2 headlights, etc. Cons: likes to grip when grip is not intended;) |

Fc3s Baby!! — It's a Rotary. It's Turbo. It's a Beast. Great Drift Car. Great Commuter. It's a Sleeper. Don't be Fooled. It was built from the gorund up. This car is VERYfun. It's Chiquies TII. I Love My RX-7 BE JEALOUS! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: It's a ROTARY DUH! Cons: NOTHING |
1987 Mazda RX-7 Turbo Review
Frank says:
I made the mistake of giving up my naturally aspirated RX-7 GTU to get this RX-7 Turbo. The plan was to finally out-accelerate my buddys Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Turbo. The RX-7 handled and could run circles around the Eclipse and pretty much anything else on the road. But the turbo changed the sublimely linear RX-7 into the absolute worst driving vehicle Ive ever owned. It was absolutely the slowest car out of every stop light due to the horrendous turbo lag. And when the turbo finally came online, if I wasnt pointed straight then I could expect the car to suddenly under steer, over steer or lose traction. Every freeway onramp became a life or death struggle. I dumped the turbo after 8 months. If you are going to get one of these, find the normally aspirated model--it is a sweetheart. vs1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Turbo AWD
