Rebuild Whole Jeep — No longer stock....Soa lift, 4.2 litre mc 2150 carb, hei distributor, horrible on gas your driving a box. Build quality is horrible. I needed one of everything....Fun factor this jeep is more fun then an amusement park. Maintance fix everything as it breaks. But I love my jeep more then anything.

Pros: everything is a positive for my jeep and it was a learning experiance on rebuilding it.

Cons: Still running a ford carborator

It's A Jeep. They Aren't Fast On The Highway, But They Are Great Off-road — It owns the trails, and even beats some built vehicles. If you want a reliable off road vehicle this is it. A jeep is usually willing to go more places than it's owner is willing to drive it. The inline six cylinder doesn't have lots of horsepower at the top end so it is not the best on the highways, but it has loads of torque and loves to crawl up rocks and fly down the less technical trails.

Pros: Bullet proof engine and drive-train so long as you don't start modifying stuff.

Cons: A little lacking in power at highway speeds, and not the most fuel efficient.

Great Vehicle — The 4.2ltr I6 engine is top-notch, with the exception of the Carter 2barrel carbeurators.

Pros: 4WD, ability to take off the top and doors, great handling, fun ride.

Cons: The '87-'89 Wranglers had the Puegot BA-10 transmission.  This French-made trans was the weak point in the design and specs of the early Wranglers.  It is faulty.

Dude Awesome — even tho its 20 years old its new cuz it only have 50000 miles on its original engine. its getting a new clutch right now only cuz the hydraulic line blew. the inside is awesome, full black leather seat wise, in the winter only takes about a min to warm up, in the summer only way to go is no doors or roof. handling is amazing! like you can turn on a dime no problem. and the acceleration is the best that iv seen on a jeep.

Pros: strong as hell. built like a brick.

Cons: u might have to rescue alot of H2s and 3s that are stuck.
