1987 Chevrolet V10(not K10/c10) '87 Was Vin Coded Differently.... — got this truck from a guy that was hard up for money... the thing only cost me $150 and with the minor repair work that i have done to it i only have $1200 into the truck. the mileage is terrible but i only use it when i need it for the Wisconsin winters and for hauling/towing wood and trailers...

Last Of The Old School Trucks — Never got this up to speed, used on campus of a school and it never failed, could haul everything we threw at it, had great utility, no comfort, had the old bench single cab but it was a work truck that never took a day off.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: 350 V8 was undeniable, always power on demand. Two wheel drive, handled like a 70's truck but had room to spare. Last of the old school pick ups.

Cons: Drank gas like a school of fish.

Old-school — We LOVE to take Old Blue to car shows, or just rool the windows down and cruise through town in our old school chevy. She runs like she was made yesterday, and she always cranks right up even after she's been sitting a while... There's nothing like a good ole antique

Pros: We LOVE our old-school C-10. It has over 300k miles and is still running beautifully.

Cons: It isn't a family truck. Not much room to haul kids around.. Just a Sunday cruiser for mom & dad.

She Is What Started It All. Can't Give That Up. — I do love my poor old POS Chevy. She was born with the TBI 305/700R4/NP 208, but summer 2010 was spent replacing the engine with a TBI 350 and a new-to-this- truck tranny. And that little bit is sooooooooooo worth it.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Regular cab, short box. Nuff said.

Cons: No diesel, automatic tranny. :(

A Good Truck For A High School Student. — i loved this truck. it was dependable and tough. i used it as an every day driver and as a huntin truck and it performed admirably. theonly thing that i can complain about is the gas mileage. on a good day it would get 12 in town on a bad day it would get 4. highway 16 on a good day 10 if you got bad gad and are fightin a hesd wind. but it would run stock 122 mph, it took a while to get wound up to that speed though. i know i was clocked by a cop buddy of mine.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: tough and dependable.it is a freakin tank.

Cons: it is a tank. there is a reason it has two 20 gallon tans!!!!!!

Yea — everything. gotta big engine. sits low. loud. dependable. a good hot rod style truck. lots of good parts for em, make em cheap and can find parts and accessories for them quite easily. gas mileage kinda sucks cuz its carbeurated and a v-8. its a blast to go cruising in.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: extremely

    Cons: gas mileage

1987 Chevy Truck — 1987 Chevrolet R10 (aka C/K10) / 305 TBI - auto trans This truck is my one vehicle that isn't a Chrysler product. Mine's got a low compression 305 small block with throttle body fuel injection - a product of the 1980's econo-era EPA restrictions. Gets the job done though.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

    Pros: Easy to work on.

Cons: Slightly underpowered but easy to improve this.
