Fieros Ftw — I like my car 'cause it's fun to drive, unique, MR layout, has a 5 speed. It's an underdogs car because most people think fieros are garbage, but they're wrong. It is capable of 28MPG, but I dont normally get that much cause my foot's too heavy.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Everything

    Cons: Nothing....... interior kinda sucks

Great Car If Well Maintained. — fast and cheap. the engine can be swapped out for a corvette engine and many more.also the engine and frame is recommended for many kit cars.mine has the 3800 v6 that is superchared puting out 280 hp. they are very rare cars.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: sporty and cheap

Cons: 84 would catch on fire.hahaha

My Fiero Is One Of My Favorite Cars! — I drive my 86 Fiero (2M4 5 speed manual) all year around, even on heavy snow. It has a very good gas mileage. Also, it is cheaper to fix compare to other larger cars. Since, it's low to the ground, the car is stable in any condition.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: great gas milleage

    Cons: nothing

I <3 — Handles well for it's age. Brakes need to be upgraded. The headlights fail often. Lots of rattles. The appearence is a matter of taste but I love it. Interior is dated. Gets about 18MPG. Very fun to drive. Needs an LSD.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's fun, RWD, Mid-Engine, good torque.

Cons: Poor build quality and old.

Garbage! Unless Its Totally Restored And All The Bugs Are Worked Out — My 86 Fiero was GARBAGE! it was slow it cost to much to fix. it was SMALL!!!! i went through to many alternators to many belts. it was just a learning experience. I learned NEVER own one of these cars LOL

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: it did handle like it was on rails (some times)

Cons: ALL OF THE ABOVE that I put in

Great — good runner, for a 6 cylinder. Love the car, good leg room. I had a Triumph Spitfire, and this kills it in performance, steering, handling, performance, and looks! If this thing was stolen, I would definitely go and find another one.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: good car

    Cons: none

My Baby — the brakes suck but the handling is awesome. the exhaust has a straight pipe so it sounds pretty good. I put some motegi 5 spokes on it and now it looks awesome. 18's on back 17's on front. gets 20 mpg. bought the car, paint, and rims for $6,000 total! you are pretty much sitting on the ground when you drive it but you can take a cloverleaf at 75mph. I love it because it's one of a kind. mid engine v6 rear wheel drive(the way it should be) American made.

    Pros: mini lambo

    Cons: taller than 6'2"

My 1986 Pontiac Fiero Gt 2m6 Review — Performance is crazy Acceleration has wicked G Force Braking has 4 wheel disc brakes Holley Throttle body Handling is alright considering the steering components are the same build as the old chevy chevette. Build Quality is amazing Fiberglass body 280 HP V6 4 speed Tranny. the only problem with a fiero is its fast enough to hydroplane. REMEMBER the 4 CYL engines where the ones that caught fire. Mine is the 6 cyl Apperance is amazing Jet Black Body Sunroof power windows tinted windows and a veilside spoiler interior is small it is a 2 seater vehicle Cost of owning is alright Premium gas and regular maitenence Fun Factor is 10 out of 10 gets alot of looks Fast as hell

    Pros: Fast Gorgeous Pure Amazing

    Cons: Spedometer only reads 140....

The Red Plastic Fantastic — OK....I'll admit it. I owned a Fiero. I bought it from a friends son, who had decided he had outgrown it. That in itself should have been a warning..... Actually, I bought it for my daughter because we had two cars already and the insurance company was going to list my son as the operator, so the car went in Vicki's name. SHE loved it. She didn't have to fix the blasted thing. Wildest memory - the heater core exploding in a cloud of green coolant and vapor that covered the windows (and me) with hot green fog, all while I was doing about 65 kph in the middle of the afternoon on Van Horne Avenue in Dryden. OR - the transmission coolant line breaking in two and dumping all of the trans fluid on the ground at 2 am when my son and his date were 40 k from town. Each and every month, we could count on the little red plastic-fantastic to cost about 150 in bits, pieces, fluids or labor. But....it was fun to drive. Sold it to a guy who was going to put a Ferrari kit body on it. Then he discovered the engine's appetite for oil. Last heard of rotting in a field, alongside two others.

Pros: Looks, handling, fun to drive

Cons: Build quality, engine quality, rattles, squeaks, vibrations and monthly repairs....

I Love This Car When It Decides To Work. — I love my Fiero. It is the best Mid engine car under 5k. It is quick and handles really well. Overall it is a blast to drive. Because there are not many Fiero's left they are unique and turn heads. However do not get one if you are not willing to do alot of work on it yourself or have. Like any 20 year old sports car it neds constant work.

Pros: Mid engine rear wheel drive

Cons: Needs constant work.  Police love to pull them over.

Small, Fast, Agile Car Built For Fun, Yet Less Expensive Than Foreign Sports Cars! By Richard
