1985 Mustang Gt — Neck snapping torque (it's a 351w, not a 302), still gets 20+ mpg on the highway, and 16 in town. I like that it's not nearly as common as the 87-93 Aero nose Mustangs, and the interior has more character in my opinion, flat dash, halo headrests, red piping on the upholstery. Love it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Quick, virtually endless aftermarket support.

Cons: Obviouslly it's a fair weather only vehicle, but... I can't think of anything other than that.

Cheep Cheep Cheep — Lots of people love it, and hate it like taking the preformance of a 4 cyl and adding the fuel efficiancy of a v8. You almost have to have a mullet and metalica playing in the tape player. lol, good for a resale for fab to a propper 5.l

Pros: tape player

Cons: red appolstrey

A Fitting Example Of The Last Muscle Car. — This is the best 9/10 completed car you could ever buy. The potential for upgrades is limitless. Even in stock form this car has good braking, acceleration and handling. They all could be improved but still good for the year. This car is a blast in the right hands(mine).

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: V-8 Manual

Cons: Mine in particular needs a full resto

The Beast — One word describes this car: Fast. Pushing 350+ HP and weighs a little less than a Civic. This is my race car. Runs mid 12's on the 1/4 mile and a fast time of 8.9 sec 1/8 mile. It's a rolling project and still needs a complete makeover. Gas mileage is in the 12-13 mpg range, but totally worth it because I don't drive it all the time.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: FAST, LOUD, Low fuel economy

Cons: Ugly, needs complete cosmetic restoration

1985 Ford Mustang Gt 5.0 — The fox body Mustangs are probably the least attractive body styles, but the early to mid 80's Mustangs were better looking with the quad headlights. The later models with the flush headlights might have been sleeker, but the didn't look as good. This was a great straight line car. The stock 302 was easy to upgrade and bullet proof. The manual transmission was great, with short throws and a crisp throw. Where this car failed, was handling! It didn't! If you know how to drive, you could power drift the car through corners, but otherwise traction and handling was very poor!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Great straight line performance. Very good engine and transmission.

Cons: Poor handling and less and stunning styling!

Shows How Far Modern Performance Cars Have Come — very quick for its day; pretty unreliable, as things started going wrong by 70K mi. Styling was ok, although fairly unimaginative. It handled fairly well, but straight-line performance was more its forte. It probably wouldn't compare well to today's Mustangs.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: good performance for the mid-80's

Cons: poor reliability

With Great Power Comes Great Gas Bills. — I love the sound of a 4 barrel Carb open up at like 3500rpm. Its got lots of torque so driving anywhere is fun. Unfortunatly the shocks are really stiff but it takes corners crazy fast.American Muscle all the way.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Power.

Cons: Standard gets a little tiring around town.
