1984 Jaguar XJ-SReview

Matt's Jaguar — What a tank of a car! For a car built in 1984, compared to the sh1tboxes Australia was building in the same year, this thing is 10 times the quality. Everything is all about leather, woodgrain and solid metal and chrome. Engine has had a full rebuild by the last owner. Not a fast car off the line, but get her up in excess of 100km/h and boy does the big cat move!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Solid, smooth, limousine style motoring

Cons: Sluggish, slow, thirsty on fuel

1984 Jaguar XJ-SReview

Last Of The True Jaguars — I bought this car for my wife, and she loves it. We were going to sell it because it's not very practical and always takes up half of our garage. I think now we will keep it and save our pennies for a new paint job someday. It's a lot of fun to have a car like this, but also a lot of work and expensive at times (not to buy -- to maintain)

Pros: Sleek, solid, sexy

Cons: Expensive, erratic, exotic (see expensive)
