A 20fter That Most People Dont Think Of. — I've always loved reading about these cars and how Ford tries unusual things at certain times in the past (SHO, Edsel, SHOgun). The car has adjustable KONIs all around, but the rears have to be removed to be adjusted. This is a pain, but they are in an easily accessed area. The motor is a gem, all American pig iron. Can easily boost it to 20psi and no problems(trust me i've tried). Takes easy to mods because it was made in 1983, they didnt have the technology like we have now and the 20+ extra years of people fiddling with them. Plus boosted Ford motors can handle pretty much anything you throw at them, just look at cobra motors, lightening motors, and GT motors.

Pros: Damn reliable, cheap parts, easy to mod and finally no one expects it.

Cons: Flexes like a wet noodle and has the potential to rust.

My Stang — I'm not a big fan of the 80s Stangs but I always said my first car would be a Mustang and I was right. She handled pretty well but the power steering didn't work so it was a pain sometimes. I called her Chopper because she sounded like a helicopter when she ran because of the muffler being loud and banging on the car.

Pros: Mustang

Cons: From the 80s

Turbo Coupe Turned V8 — 1984 Ford Mustang Hatchback, vehicle was originally a turbo coupe, but had the 4cyl replaced with a v8. Which I pulled and rebuilt, .030 302cid. (305cid). 650cfm Holley double pumper carb. Hooker Comp headers, true dual exhaust, 5spd manual trans, 8in rear. Installed 6pt. roll cage, drag buckets, 5pt racing belts, 15in alloy wheels. 3-way adjustible racing shocks and complete rear control arm kit with greasable poly bushings.

Pros: Throw you in your seat and stick like glue.

Cons: Gas was rediculous with the 650cfm Holley DP...and the fact that I dont own it anymore.

Good ,simple, Reliable, Good Performance, Fun! — Very good car, had an '83 convertible back in '85 was a good car. Bought an '84 convertible G.T. 2 years ago, oxford white eye catcher, have had offers for twice what I paid for it. Not for sale. Fun to have a 24 year old that out performs new cars that cost 10 times as much as I paid. Small block v-8, 5-speed, 9 inch ford rear end, good combo! Some Fords I wouldn't own, this is a keeper! Easy to upgrade, any later model fox body engine and drive train slips right in, ie. with a donor car fuel injection is easy. Fun to teach this latest generation with their rice burners about true performance.

Owner for 2 years, 0 months

Miles Driven per Year:3,500

Pros: Good looking and running, only 6256 EVER built.
