1983 Subaru BrumbyReview
Tough, Full Of Grunt Beast! — My Brumby is my pride and joy. Salvaged from rusting in the back of a farm, my dad brought it back to life and was truly successful. It was worth the wait. Initially it was just going to be another quick topcoat (then white) but I thought it would be best to go all out and build my Tonka truck. We added Sunraysia rims, wheel flares, a rollbar, spotlights, bonnet scoop, mud flaps, a huge exhaust and a custom steering wheel. Lately I've fitted a CD player and stereo which is quite over the top and in the future I plan to tint the windows. The best example I've seen to date. People comment everywhere I go, I've even been asked how'd the Rexy engine fit in?!
Pros: Four wheel drive if you need it, will go where most Hilux's won't, cheap as chips to run, turns on a dime, lights up the road from here to Sydney and sounds awesome.
Cons: No air con
