My First Car Ever. — 1982 Datson 810 (Maxima, later owned by Nissan.) I had the 4 door wagon model. Mine had the engine of a 280Z in it, and a two speed auto transmission. It was the fastest Maxima I ever drove, esp. for a wagon!!

Pros: It got me to college, great gas mileage, voice chip, looked similar to a DeLorean. (Mine had a silver paint job.)

Cons: High maintenance for such an old car. My entire power steering rack had to be replaced, complete with the fluid pump. Ouch. It had over 280K miles on her.

Its a safe car that I would highly recommend as my daughters first vehicle with its sonar and self breaking mode to protect any driver who might not be paying full attention to the road. Read More
