The Last Of Year For The Great Camaros — 1981 was the last year for the second generation of the Camaro, and the last year that the Camaro would look decent for about 15 years. The 1981 Camaro Z28 came with a 350 with 175 bhp, but don't let that fool you, as any should know a 350 was only regarded as a mouse motor in GM racing history but are well known for their racing quality and ease to reach high performance.

Pros: Lots of power to play with, fun car to drive.

Cons: Not the most aerodynamic, and the back end loves to slip when taking turns sharp.

Load Of Fun — Owned a 1981 z28 for 22 years and I love it. some of the suspension stuff doesn't quite stack up to the new but you can always ugrade. Forget about gas mileage this is a fun vehicle.

An Average Car That Is Fun To Mod And Build On. Great Base For A Project Car! — It's a Camaro. What does one expect out of it??? The stock 350 c.i. motor was bewildered by OPEC and other regulations. It feels as if it's missing something. If well maintained, it's a beautiful car that will be reliable to one's owner. The stock interior is gorgeous. The big-bodied design is the last year Chevrolet had the style in production. Truly immaculate design for an American Muscle car. The car is fun to be in because it will always turn heads.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Head-turner, classic

Cons: poor stock performance for a muscle car

Gets The Blood Pumping — Love this car But Love the 1969 z28 better. This car has 5.7l 350 330hp Turbo 350 Trans with Shift kit 373 posi. Body is still org but was repainted 20 yrs ago. Under the hood is a $$$$$$$$ of chrome The motor and wheel wells are all the same colour as the car dark blue. This car is a riot to drive. Is stored every winter. Because of the 373 posi the gas go fast. Would love to beef up to 450hp

Pros: The eyes are on you

Cons: Police

Has Been A Dream Car Since Ive Been A Kid. — Well, it gets unbeleivable gas mileage right now!!! I will try and keep it as original as possible, exept for a 700r4 transmission for the overdrive and some sort of fuel injection system for best gas mileage and tunabilaty/performance.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: will be great when I finnish restoring it.

Cons: can't seem to find the time to work on it.

What I Think About My Car. — This car is very awesome...I just got it out of the shop about three months ago with brank new metal and paint, It has a 355 with high performance corvette heads,a brand new leather interior(yes it is real leather, not that vinyl stuff). The wheels are Torque Thrust 2`s with 8 inch tires on back. 7 inch on front. It averages 13 city and 17 country. It has an edelbrock performer intake,600cfm edelbrock 4 barrel carbuerator,.442 lift cam, Turbo 350 with a 2500 stall and shift kit.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I love this car, its perfect for a teenage kid that wants looks, and some BA performance.

Cons: It's not every worth what you put into it, because its a Second Gen Camaro, not first.
