You Can't Beat Old Holden Looks, Reliability And Speed. Pitty It Doesn't Stop! — With the luxuary interior standard on the SL/E's and downright predictability from the 308, hi-stalled auto and LSD diff, you can't get any better from your money. Unless you want a flimsy front-wheel drived pocket rocket, that either you can't buy parts for or cost you an arm and leg and (Don't lean too hard while washing - you may dent 'em)

Pros: Comfortable,  great looks - all round tough car! - Built to last.

Cons: Brakes fade after several heavy braking attempts

My First Car, Ruby The Red Rocket — I loved this car, mechanics would comment that it was the tightest stock standard VB-VH they'd ever seen. Then someong smashed into me, and she was never the same again :(

Pros: Reliabilty, cheap to run, good looking, made from pure metal (which pretty much saved my life when I got into a wreck, I came out with one broken bone)

Cons: doesn't run as well after an accident :(

Holden Vc Commodore L, 3 Speed Automatic — Purchased in the late 80's, was a great car untill it got stolen! Was later recovered but was never quite the same.

Pros: Neat and economical Commodore.

Cons: Poor performance from the 1.9 litre 4 cylinder
