Love It. — Performance - It's a Volkswagon Bus, not a McLaren Merc Build Quality - German (= fantastic) Appearance - Green. Green plaid interior with wood grain laminate cabinets. Stainless steel sink. Cost of Ownership - Low. Very few problems. Mechanically perfect. Fun Factor - It's a Volkswagon Bus. It's a hell of a lot of fun! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Fun, Freedom, Peace & Love Cons: Performance not that of a super car. She's A Keeper — I got it from a guy in LA. It had been in storage for 12 years. No rust and low miles. I've gone through the motor and brakes, and now I'm working on the interior and other "bits 'n pieces" as they come up. Lots of fun! Pros: Fun to drive, spacious and gets thumbs up wherever I go. Cons: None that I can think of - parts are becoming hard to find at a decent price unless you know where to look. |
