The Most Indestructible Truck I Ever Owned. Bullet-proof 225 Slant-six — Not sure if it was a Ram 50 because the emblems fell off before I bought it for $100., It was a full size, 2WD plain-jane truck, 3-speed column shift converted to floor, 225 slant-six motor w/2bbl carb, no choke, geared like a riding lawnmower. Speedometer needle fell off but I think it would do about 70 tops with the engine screaming. It was the ugliest Sanford & Sons looking piece of junk on the road but no matter what I did to it as a 16 year old, it wouldn't break. We yanked down trees, used it to push a dumpster across a parking lot, had it on 2 wheels in the dirt, drove over about 50 parking blocks that were lined up parallel to each other. I had it about 3 or 4 feet off the ground going really fast over a set of railroad tracks and nothing broke except the battery fell and hit the fan blade. The truck is currently located at the bottom of a lake because the ice started cracking and we bailed out.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: TOUGH

Cons: the ugliest, junkiest piece of **** I've ever seen

Fun Truck To Drve — It was a great truck that got looks where ever I drove it, many times coming back to my truck with a buisness card on the windshield asking if I was willing to sell it.

Pros: Great pick up and plenty of room.

Cons: Gas guzzler and problems with the 4 barrel holly in it

It Was A Good Little Truck. By Phillip

The 2.6 litre engine was surprisingly quick! The vehicle was originally a Mitsubishi imported by Dodge. I had the five speed and found it pretty spritely. Read More

1989 Dodge Ram 50 "big Horn" 2.6 Liter By Hettboy

I like the fact that it gets good gas mileage, and i like how it drives. It is easy to work on, and for a four cylinder, the 2.6 liter performs wonders. All in all, it is a fantastic little truck. Read More

Good Commuter Or Mudder, But Not A "truck". By Ben

4 cylinders gives pretty good gas mileage, but isn't very beefy. Being small makes it real light, but I just have a thing for bigger trucks. When I bought it the head was blown, so I replaced that and... Read More
