1978 Mazda RX-7Review

Mazda Wattttt — The performance in it is awesome as the motor has just been upgraded, build quality is pretty sweet for an old car. Interior could do with a new dash as its cracked from age and exterior wise it could do with a repsray but its still mint. Its an awesome car to drive and i love it Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: its rotary powered so quick as for a little car, handles mint! Cons: the nucket seats give you a sore back on long journeys ![]() Looking for a Used RX-7 in your area?CarGurus has 34 nationwide RX-7 listings and the tools to find you a great deal. |

Banzai! — Performance- Excellent for 1978 standards. Although a modern Ford Focus would destroy me in acceleration, top speed, handling, braking, etc etc! Build quality- Excellent beyond comparison. Appearance- Beautiful....period. Cost of Ownership- PARTS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. Burns a lot of fuel 16 mpg average for its size. Maintenance intensive at this age, yet very reliable. It will always get you home. Fun Factor- A real blast to drive. Has the "what was that" factor. Very difficult at first to learn how to drive it, but once you do you will enjoy it. That car does take its toll as you will tire out quickly. Stiff ride, manual steering, manual tranny, constant shifting. Small cramped cockpit. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Vintage rotary power. The birth of a legend. Cons: Parts and knowledgable mechanics VERY difficult to find. |

Mazda For Free — got it for hauling it off when a local towing yard was sold. It was an impound belonging to a wanted drunk driver. he was sent to prison and there the car has sat. It has 78,000 original miles and is in good shape. needs a title, a good overhaul and some new paint. Pros: Low miles and in great overall shape Cons: no title and its been sitting for 10 or more years now |
