It Was The Car I Always Wanted...and Then Had To Give Up. — the 1974 dodge monaco police package was "the bluesmobile" in the first blues brothers movie. i had always wanted my own, and one day, even before i had my liscense, i got that chance. my dad bought a 1975 dodge monaco, which is identical, save for some minor cosmetic differences, to a 1974 monaco. this car unfortunately had to leave me before we even got to develop a relationship. it threw a rod like the one in the movie, which i found beautifully ironic, and we had to give it up because it was not worth the money to fix. but for a brief time, i had my own bluesmobile, and one day i hope to again.

Pros: big and built like a tank.

Cons: prone to rust easily.
