1975 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Overview

After the great success seen by the Monte Carlo in 1974, Chevrolet decided not to change much in the 1975. Perhaps the biggest change was the introduction of catalytic converters in order to meet new federal standards in fuel economy.

The base engine remained a 350-ci V8 rated at 145 horsepower, while optional engines included a 400-ci V8 rated at 175 horsepower and a 454-ci V8 rated at 235 horsepower. 148,529 S Sport Coupes were produced, as well as 110,380 Landau Coupes.

The car remains a popular tuner car to this day.
