vs1972 Triumph TR6
1972 MG MGB winning categories:
  • Power
  • Handling
  • Looks/Style
  • Front Seats
  • Back Seats
  • Cargo Capacity
  • Family Car
  • Value
  • Would Buy
Front Seats Ranked 1972 Triumph TR6 better.
"Wider and more supportive with more leg-room, transmission tunnel is considerably smaller in the Triumph resulting in less incursion to the seat area and a less cramped feel."
Back Seats Ranked 1972 Triumph TR6 better.
"There are no backseats in either vehicle however, when the soft-top(drop hood) is folded the TR6 is left with more of the parcel shelf useable."

72 Mgb Gt — the handling is superb. the car is so easy to control and it does everything you tell it to. only problem is the 1.8L 4 cylinder engine, i want more power out of the car. however, considering it is roughly one ton, 90ish horsepower can easily more the car around

Pros: handling, size, appearance

Cons: lucas electronics

Fun Car To Drive! Specially When The Weather Is Right! — Not much of a performance car, but man is it fun to drive. I used to drive it from Santa Barbara to SF Bay Area. It never had any problems. Of course you don't want to get stuck in traffic! It will heat up!

Pros: Looks, fun to drive

Cons: British electronics! Not made for everyday driving.

Great Little Weekender Car — This was my fun car. I bought it for my weekends out on the town. It was a head turner at the time and frankly still is. "Secret" button for 5th/6th gear OD made for smooth highway driving with minimal fuel consumption.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Blast to drive! Handled like a sports car, responsive in all aspects

Cons: Expensive repairs
