1972 Alfa Romeo GTVReview
Fast, Sexy, Beautiful, Expensive, Money Sink — This was my first car - actually it was a 1969 1750 GTV. It was love at first sight. I learned so much working on that car (like never, never spin the engine with the timing chain disconnected). Don't know what the deal is with italian steel, but this car had soft steel that rusted, and rusted... Took a body shop course just to try and keep up with it. Eventually the floor rusted through and the back of the driver seat fell through the floor as i was driving it down the street. I still see them for sale every now and then, it's a good think I don't have $35,000 to throw down the toilet....'cause i probably would...
Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
Pros: fast, fun
Cons: rust, rust and more rust
