I've Owned It Since 1979. Other Cars Come And Go But This One Will Always Be Mine. — Still my favorite type of Z car. 151 hp but only weighs 2,300 lbs. A true sports car without amenities like A/C or sound insulation. Red lines at 7,000 rpm. The peak torque does not start until around 4,800 rpm. Fully independent suspension. Very quick on winding mountain roads like the Tail of the Dragon in North Carolina. The car is durable with an estimated 265,000 miles on it. The lower part of the engine has never been rebuilt. The design issues are with vents on the back of the hatch that let exhaust inside the car and air scoops on the front brakes that also scoop water. The original radiator was inadequate for the high compression engine. I installed a cross flow aluminum radiator made in Arizona for hot climates. The body design is a classic and turns heads more now as it did in the 1970's. Like most sports cars you have to maintain it. On a winding road, it is still about as much fun as you can have with a car. It can eat up newer cars with 5 times the horse power in the curves.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fun and Beautiful

Cons: It is so quick that it is frustrating to drive in city traffic.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Muscle

Cons: Hard to find

The Car Is Rad — Currently under restoration, just need some time to finish it up and drive it around! Performance: 0-60 is under 6 seconds so that's not bad. Appearance: It just looks clean, definitely a classic. Fun: Absolutely, chuck it into a corner and the car just sticks.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Its rare, fast, handles great, rear wheel drive, manual transmission

Cons: I put a new engine in it a while back, finishing up the brakes, exhaust and intake.  Then she's ready to run!
