1970 Ss396/375hp Chevelle — This was one of my favourite cars. It had the SS396/375HP package, bored out to 413 with an Isky cam, Weiand manifold and a holley 750cfm carb. The trans was a Turbo 400 with a Hurst dual gate shifter, 12 bolt rear with 3.73 gears. 0-60 times were 5 seconds or less if you could get the tires to hook. If I could buy it back again I would.

    Pros: Power!

    Cons: 7mpg

1970 Chevelle 454 Ls6 — This was a car I rebuilt myself. This car is true to the "take no prisoners" 454, with an 800-cfm Holley four barrel on an aluminum manifold, 11.25:1 compression, solid lifters, four-bolt mains, forged steel crank and connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, and deep-groove accessory pullies. It has a Turbo 400 automatic and has Positraction which was an option back in 1970. She has matching numbers. She has been restored to near mint condition. Exterior is silver with black racing stripes down the hood and trunk. Interior is black. This beauty is obviously not my daily driver, but I do take her out of the garage on weekends. She's been the best car I've owned thus far. Find her stats below: Engine: V-8 Horsepower 450 @ 5600 Torgue 500@ 3600 Performance: 0-60 in 6.1 seconds 1/4 mile 13.7 @ 103mph I would recommend the 1970 LS6 to anyone interested in a beefy, yet sultry muscle car.

Pros: Positives?  All of the above.

    Cons: Nada

Muscle, Beauty And Class, What's Not To Love?! — One of the most desired body styles of its era, if not all time. Great power, gorgeous lines and a great build quality that has lasted almost 40 years. Just an all around classy car. Fits in anywhere from the drag strip to the showroom floor! The Chevelle is a must for any serious car collector! ^_^

Pros: The title says it all!

    Cons: Handling

70 Chevelle — I love it..this one i have has a PAR 565 cubic inch big block that has ran 9.67 at 134mph ..peddling it 3 times in the quarter...if i can get the correct set up it should go low 9,s and high 8,s on the bottle with any luck..the only thing i dis liked originally was how heavy it was..i cured that bye going all fiberglass except the roof now it weighs 2450lbs with me in it.

    Pros: Styling..everyone knows a chevelle

Cons: heavy..hard to make fast with out a tin diet...but still quick from the factory

Chevy Chevelle — Likes: It looks awesome! It has a big engine. Dislikes: They are old (no new technology). I don't own it. American made: probably not the most reliable.

Beautiful Car, Definitely Worth The Money For What You Get. — Well the malibu package is a bit of a bland one, just a basic swept speedometer and a bench seat is about all you get, 350, 4 speed manual, 12 bolt rear end with factory 4 link rear suspension. Decent acceleration, it is no LS6 by any means, but 4 wheel drum brakes with organic linings can get a bit hairy at times.

Pros: Excellent looks, driveability, acceleration, power and sound.

Cons: Stops weak, lack of better gauges and interior.

Fun, Fast Car. — I have had the car for 11 years. That has to say something about the car--I don't keep anything longer than about 8 months, usually.

    Pros: Acceleration

    Cons: Fuel mileage

Real 1970 Chevelle Ss454 — I found 3 build sheets proving it was one of the real 4500 SS454 LS5 equipped models. Purchased it in 1981, parked it in 1982, restored it in 2005.

Pros: Looks good, flawless paint, pulls the wheels off the ground torque. Fund to drive

Cons: Drinks gas like you are pouring through a garden hose.

My Dad Owned It...and I Drove It...it Is A Great Classic — The car combines the excellent balance of speed and class. It all starts at a red light. You slam the gas and the tires skid on the white paint. It roars at 5000 rpm from first to second gear and everything becomes a distant blur. Your adrenaline just doesn't stop from the moment you turn the car on.

    Pros: Incredible power.

    Cons: It slides everywhere.
