There's No Replacement For Big Displacement — 396, four-speed, 4.56 posi....Could not be beat stoplight to stoplight. It is part of the reason for writing the book; Chevelle SS 1964-1972, A Muscle car Source Book, and the reason I own a '69 Chevelle SS today.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Power

Cons: Traction in snow.

The Raffle — pure american muscle, with a 396 ci engine and muncie 4 speed. a real head turner. you don't drive this car for the gas mileage, you drive it fun. it's a pavment pounding beast, that burns rubber in all 4 gears. FYI i won this car in the cruisin the coast, make a wish raffle.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: that fact that i won it in a raffle

Cons: nothing.

The Chevelle — My favorite car ever. My dad and i built this car together from a barn find. It has a 468 BBC, TH-400 with a 3500 stall converter, and 4.56 gears out back. Runs mid elevens in the quarter at our local track.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: HAULS!!!

Cons: What?! I cant HEAR you!

Best Car I Have Ever Owned. — Performance- accelerates hard, brakes a little weak, handles like a boat. Build quality- Has needed extensive repairs, no more squeaks and rattles. appearance- They dont build them like this anymore. Cost of ownership- not for the timid. Gas mileage is terrible, but worth it. Fun factor is off the chart.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Chicks dig it

Cons: no good in bad weather

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Good looking

Looks Good — The 1970 Chevelle is a definite dream car. The car turns heads period. The rumble of the engine, sound of the exhaust - even just sitting at a red light - will get you more head nods and thumbs up than you would ever expect. The lines are clean on this car and even if the car were just primer colored people would stop to tell you how beautiful the car is.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Pure Muscle, Fast, Strong and it looks good.

Cons: Gas Guzzler, Small Interior, Extremely Heavy so good luck with fast reaction/emergency brakes, No stock rear sway bar - the car can become unstable at higher speeds.

Collectible And Enjoyable — This was my first car and one of the most fun to drive. I ended up lowering it and it handled surprisingly well for such a big car. It ran about 16s on the 1/4 without any mods. Lots of memories.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun

Cons: None

Chevelle 454 — the 1970 chevelle ss was one of the top ten fastest muslecars stock it ran 13 seconds in the quarter mile. it came with a 454 450 hp engine(you could also get other engines but it was the most powerfull) Mine hasa zz454 crate engine from gm the engine was built as a circle track race engine because it has 500hp and 540lb ft of tourque and is very light weight. it is also backed by tci streetfighter transmission turbo 400. dual 3inch mandrel bend exhaust. and it performs very well. the acceleration and top speed are great but at almost 18 feet long it handles like a boat

Pros: acceleration and styling

Cons: handeling
