Great Car To See In Action, — The look is classic roadster. Soft top, wire wheels, big round curves. The engine is solid but you have to baby it, and you have to be able to work on it. mostly a weekend car. Low to the ground and direct steering, makes you one with the road.

Pros: Great wind in your hair rally car.

Cons: be a mechanic or pay for one.

Classic British — Easy to work on or modify, easy to find parts for, attractive styling, good leg room, and three windshield wipers. The car drives well, is reliable with preventive maintenance, and handles better than most modern cars. Combine this with the excellent fuel economy and the go-kart sound of the 1.8 liter engine and you can see why it had a production run of 18 years

Pros: sound, handling, transmission, engine

Cons: acceleration, prone to rust, convertible top

My First Love. A Cruel, Heartless Mistress — Excellent front end collision protection, as it was always attached to a tow truck. Sitting 1/4 inch from the ground gives the illusion of speed. Understeers like a snowplow. Eventually is very lightweight due to rust and leaking fluids

Pros: Enables you to support your local economy by constantly having it serviced by a local repair shop.  Keeps you off of drugs, because you are too poor to afford them.  Is truly a magical, sensual experience when the weather is mild, and you have the top down.  An excellent learning experience, as you learn what every burning automotive fluid smells like

Cons: 99 percent of the time it is smoking, catching fire, running on 2 cylinders, burning a full quart of 20W50 in 50 miles (well I was going 90 which equates to 5000rpm), leaking everything.....wait maybe those are the pros!

Love It — I love this car! still needs a bit of work yet. I did the body work and paint myself. custom leather dash with wood gauge panels and door panels. rebuilt Nissan A14 motor still needs some adjustments but still gets great gas mileage.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: rag top all the way

Cons: needs a better motor... maybe a V6
