The One I Let Get Away — 1968 Mustang GT/California Special. 1 of only 4000 built, only made in 1968, only sold in CA. .030 overbored 302 built to Shelby specs, built C-4 tranny, Shelby fiberglass bady panels. Not the fastest thing on the streets, but since it's rare you hardly ever come across another on the road.

Pros: Awesome handling, head-turner, rare

Cons: Expensive Ford parts, hard to find replacement parts, non-locking gas cap, not much rar leg room

Had It When I Was 17, Bought It With 47,000 Original Miles And The Trunk Lid Was Missing! — A competely original 289 2-barrel car with PS and PB, my Dad and I did the bodywork in the driveway and painted it at his shop on Mavis Road. I drove it from Hell to High Water and back a couple of times, it started in any weather and in spite of having no weight in the back end it performed completely undramatically in the snow. I drove it to school, work and Peterborough on weekends. I put the mandatory Thrush header mufflers when the stock exhaust pretty much fell off it, and aside from a blown power steering hose and a positive wire grounding out against the rad cradle never had a moment of grief with the car. I miss it, but not as much as my 70 convertible!

Pros: Style bay bee!

Cons: Not enough power, needed a Cobra Jet.

It's A Classic... — It doesn't get anymore American than this. Has got a 5,0 ltr. V8 302 engine and sounds like a thunderstorm.

Pros: The way it makes me feel when I drive it

Cons: Absolutely nothing

I Bought This From A Guy In Peoria, Il — I drive it from April to November, putting it away for the winter. It has a 289 ci with a Holley 4 barrel headman headers. I recently put new tires on my America Racing rims. Its an automatic, however me dad and I may convert it to manual. It may not get the best gas mileage, but its fun to drive. I put two 300 watt Polk Audio 6x9's in the rear deck last year, and I'm workin on an amp and head for great sound. The front speaker, which is made of paper, is original and works. I got a new windshield put in last spring.

Pros: one of two 1960's mustangs that I know of in my town. Nice color, great interior, runs great, sounds really good.

Cons: I wrecked the rear passenger side in 06. I worked with my dad and we got a new quarter panel, rear valance, taillight panel and quarter panel extensions. We got the back painted. It was having electrical problems, but a new voltage regulator and battery fixed that. There was a hole in the radiator, so we got a new one. The gas line in the picture has duct tape on it, we changed it to a braded hose, it looks a ton nicer now.

It Has A Certain X Factor To It Which Most Cars Do Not — This is my daily drive, and I love it. It sucks petrol but the fact that it is so old means I can justify it from an environmental point of view. Watch out when it's raining it can be a bit dangerous in the wet!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It brings a smile to your face every time you drive it

Cons: You may kill yourself in the wet

The Legend! — Its a Mustang,Ford really knew what they were doing when they created this american classic! The style is superb in all forms, they preform well, the cost of ownership isn't bad if you don't mind giving up a few extra bucks at the pump, just to look cool...However the engines can be tempermental if they haven't been properly maintained/rebuilt...the car is EXTREMELY FUN! You will always be challenged to a stop light drag race...they can get you and other drivers in trouble!!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Its fun, cool, parts are easy to come by,and it's a FORD!!!

Cons: Like all pony and muscle cars...it's a cop magnet
