Great 4 Door 60's Car With Lots Of Power. — Awesome piece of Americana!!! Great styling and lots of chrome!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Plenty of power and very reliable.

Cons: 9MPG is not a good thing with gas at $3.50/Gal  brakes were manual and hard to stop the car with drums all the way around.

So Worth The Wait! — I love this car! The body is straight with very little rust. I don't think it will take much to get her looking pretty again! I can't comment on how it feels to drive, since it wasn't running when I purchased it. I can't wait to take her for a spin!

Pros: She's solid as a rock!

Cons: Original parts may be hard to find.

Big Block Machine — Built this to my specs. 390 engine mated to a c6 trans. 3.89 rear gear set with detriot locker. Power steering you can throw the wheel it turns so easy. My brakes are not the best being drum all the way around. Hope to change to disk.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: I built it

Cons: Lots of power breaks things. lol

This Car With The 289 Was Not As Good As The 390cu.in. — this car is long and sleek, the engine is a 289 with a little less hp than the chev 283, the car handled better around corners than the 64 chev impala, the interior is more roomy than the chevrolet impala

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: is a a good handling car

Cons: interior started to fall apart prematurally, headliner, door handles, glass

Rare Car That Turns Alot Of Heads And Gets Alot Of Thumbs Up — 3.00 open rear sucks for quick launches but great for one wheel wonders. 390's a little tired, i want to rebuild it with a hotter cam, ported and polished head and dress the motor some. best gas mileage to date is 13mpg, once i get it back on the road again i will check it again.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: fun car to drive, seats 6 adults comfortably, fast

    Cons: doesn't handle fast sharp turns, 13mpg + premium gas+ 25 gallon tank+ 2.80 gallon= expensive to drive

I Love It — The car handles just like you would expect a 40 year old car to handle, the 390 has enough power to move the 2 ton car pretty quickly. I have had the interior and exterior done, and now, I am planning on getting the engine and tranny rebuilt.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: beautiful

    Cons: old age

The Name "galaxie" Isn't Far Off In Reference To The Size Of This Car. — 351 Windsor V8 I rebuilt myself. I love the sound and the power is great, but the mileage is far below affordable when gas is more than $1 a gallon. It only gets around 13mpg, much much less if you have any fun at all.

Pros: It's beautiful, powerful and seats 7 comfortably.

    Cons: It's got 4 wheel drum brakes and a 3-speed column-shifted manual.

1967 Gal 500 — This was the original MOB mobile! It had to be, you could fit 5 people in the back seat and about a dozen bodies in the trunk! It had white pleather interior and factory air, which was rare inthose days. It was tiffany blue and had a white hard top!

Pros: When you drove it you OWNED the road!

Cons: It got about 8 miles to the gallon!

Great Cruiser — thats classic and fun to drive. 289 small block gets 22 mpg. Is a convertible with factory A/C. Had a full body off restoration in 2005.

Pros: Classic car, 22 mpg, room for everyone.

Cons: Big car + manual brakes = bad stopping power
