These Are Great Trucks And I Am Really Glad I Got One. — Performance: Can't say much there because I have a few minor things left to work on before I can get it inspected and really drive it. But the acceleration is decent, and the brakes work well. The handling is not so great though, steering wheel has a little play in it which is to be expected in a truck this old, but the lack of power steering makes the handling that much more worse. But I still love the truck. Build: It is over 40 years old and the previous owners did not take care of the truck very well. That said, I had to tune up the engine and replace a lot of rusted out sheet metal. There were also old broken wires and all of the emergency brake cables were shot. Now that may seem like a lot to some people but this truck has been very easy to work on, fun even, and I have it almost finished and ready to be put back on the road. Appearance: When completely restored these trucks are beautiful. Cost: Well from what I have heard they get great gas mileage, and I know they are cheap to maintain as long as you do the work yourself anyway. Fun: The limited amount of driving I have done it isn't much to go on but I enjoy it every time I fire up that straight six and pull it out of the garage.

Pros: Its easy to work on, If you maintain them they will last a long time, and I think they look good.

Cons: Its column shift, Id prefer floor shift.

Fun To Drive And Very Very Loud — waiting to put in the 427 big block and TH400 behind it restored in & out, 355 ported and polished heads. 280H comp cam. Edelbrock Air Gap with a Demon DP to fuel it and Long tube headers with dual straight pipes going out the back. Also took out widowmaker and put a 16 gallon fuel cell under the box were the spare tire would be

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Not quite enough power yet

Cons: South Dakota limits me to drive it only during the summer
