6t5 Bird — Wish I had it running! Was purchased in 1983 by my dad. He told me if I made it through basic training the car was mine. Car is originally from Cali. He found in Florida. Has about 120K on it. Car turns over but needs a full engine overhaul. No rust. Im planning on doing a full restoration but the $ for parts for these cars are not cheap! 390c, rated @ 315hp. has the swing away steering wheel.1st year for the famous sequential taillights. Fell free to contact Chip Foose for me and tell him I could use some help!!

    Pros: Will have it forever.

    Cons: Not running!

My 65 Thunderbird — I picked up this car and was really a basketcase! Since I've rebuilt the 390 motor and the tranny. Everything else under the hood has been updated and replaced. I've driven this car once, as I'm not done with it. The control, take off, braking and over-all ride is great! I love the lines on this car. It's classic yet could completely hot rod out. I've put about $11k into the car so far. I'm happy with what's gotten done. Just need to finish paint and interior.

    Pros: everything!

    Cons: None

An "ageless Classic" — The 65` T-Bird was my Second of this model bought in 2006, after I`d bought a 76` "BIG BIRD", and although I`ve had problems with the car ALL being due to the previous owners inability to finish the work he started, I have come to appreciate the styling, design, and other additions fitted as "Standard" such as the sequential indicator lights, and movable steering wheel etc. No matter where I park there are always "LOTS" of interest in the car. Most, if not all, of those seeing the car comment on how a car made over Fourty Years ago can look so "Good or Modern" for its age. The car has had lots of work done to it, most being done prior to my buying it, and I have spent well in excess of £5,000 on her since 2006 and am at present still spending on parts needed. Was it worth it? I`d say "YES" it is, as when taking the car to shows around the country it has proved to be a good tool in getting to meet and make many new friends. I also get asked, as recently for a childrens hospice, to take the car to fund raising events for different charities and this is just one of the many reasons behind my just "LOVING" the car. I feel the car is one of those made by Ford which deserves to be saved and kept on the road, and when coming to sell her I know the new owner will get a pretty good car that he or she will not need to spend out great amounts of cash on, as I`ve done, in order to enjoy the car as much as I do.

Pros: M.P.G. is good. partly due to the previous owner changing the 390ci to a 352ci engine.Good handling and Braking. Very roomy Trunk

Cons: Non that I can think of

Wonderful Car. — gone, but not forgotten. This was a great vehicle, although it took a lot of time and money to get it in driving condition. I think I will inspect any vehicle I purchase a bit more carefully. This was a nightmare.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: The car has been sold to a very happy customer.

Cons: Put a lot of money into the mechanical part because it hadn't been driven in years.

65 Thunderbird Special Landau Near Original — More to follow after I drive it for a couple of hundred miles. Just got it and love it. I already have a standard but original coupe so the Special Landau is just an addition to my collection. So many cars... so little money. I only use my collector cars for cruise-ins and shows. That is not an option in the drop down list below.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Car is near original.  original EmberGlo color although a repaint.  Not the best paint job but looks good.  Almost everything works except clock.  Got it in Aug 2011.

Cons: What can you say bad about a rare 65 Bird?
