Fast, Sporty, Chicks Dig It. If You Beleive That, I Have A Bridge For Ya... — 2 tons of fun. I didn't want this car, but an older gentleman I knew wanted to get rid of it and was asking $200.00. I mean, come on... a perfectly maintained, waxed, spotless, undented unmolested car with 30,000 miles on it... okay, it was 10 years old. So I bought it, drove it like a nut. It tolerated me for a while, then started spitting up oil from both valve covers. I think I got 8 months out of it. Well worth it, the darn thing was a tank and got through snow banks on bald tires. Unreal.

Pros: Embarrassing car for a kid, but you could fit 8 people in it. And I did. Often.

Cons: This really IS your father's Oldsmobile.

Starfire Convertable. 1963 — This was my first car when I was 16 yrs old. I paid $963.00 for it. Thankfully it was a heavy-solid car that saved me in more than 3 accidents. For it's day the big v-8 was fast. We could smuggle 4 friends in the trunk at the drive in pictures.

Pros: Big heavy car. Built solid. Fast for it's day.

Cons: gas mileage was bad, around 8 mpg. But gas back then was .25/gallon!

The Land Yacht By Justin

It's the biggest thing on four wheels you could buy in 1966 without a CDL. It handles like a yacht and is just as comfortable. It sounds wonderful and looks even better. It's the easiest thing to work... Read More

Gorgeous, Sexy, Voluptuous By John

Quite literally a little old lady car--the previous owner was ninety-one when I bought the then-fourteen-year-old Starfire, which had only 50,000 miles on it at the time. Little sister now owns it ... Read More
