I said as soon as Ford restyled the Fusion to make it less blocky in 2007 that I wanted one. This car has great style, and with dual exhaust, looks sporty. Seems like something that is a hit with young people still wanting something cool, the family that needs a good looking practical car, or the older person who still wants to be driving something that stands out.
I'd say before I wanted a Camry... definitely changed my mind.

Did you get the 2010 4Runner last weekend? I'm sure you could get a great deal on a 2009 model, and would be surprised if the 2010 model truly is demanding full MSRP. It is, afterall, still a body-on-frame SUV and those aren't exactly flying off dealer lots. Haggle if you can, but if the dealer(s) won't budge, I'd wait a few months before forking over full price and seeing what happens with that "trickling" inventory story. It's at least worth seeing though what the Costco price is, then visiting other dealers and asking if they can beat it. Let us know how it turns out!

The dilemma is ideological at the base! American corporate interests now capitalized on the Beijing, Shanghai, Hang Seng, stock markets and safe from the money printing presses of the dollar, want somehow to preserve patent rights, and American thing, and impose them on a communist regime in Asia! They are now going to pay in their own fvcking blood for absconding with American Capital, meant for re-investment in America, and earned by American backs! The greedy bastards want our asses served to them on a silver platter, no strings attached in Asia by us! They cannot eat their cake and have it too! Good on Asian for kicking their asses this way! On a recent trip to Shanghai, copies of Windows 7 were on sale openly in kiosks on the streets for little more than the cost of the copy disk! They simply do not enforce U.S. Patent laws at all! I hope they rob the greedy sell out artist Capitalists this way - just to punish them for what they did to America! What did they do to America?" SEE: http://uprooted.jessicareeder.com/2009/09/detroit-and-the-100-dollar-house/comment-page-1/#comment-3003 and weep! Even the tools for production in Detroit were scrapped and sold to China as scrap metal by the corporatists before they left to build better factories in China and take our jobs, culture, society, way of life, with them! Remember, most Foreign cars especially from Asia are built with Chinese manufactured parts, even GN(America) has trucks with Chinese built engines, sold in America at American prices today! The Bastards!

I live in Boone, NC. A lot of them are more low key, but there are a ton of super rich people who have homes here or who are retiring to the surrounding area. I can think of about half a dozen bentley continentals, a couple of maserati's, a couple of ferraris, a rolls or two, etc that I see from time to time. Just the other day I passed a gallardo driving down the main street. For some reason there are a lot of old steudabaker avanti's here. I can think of four and I see them regularly. Not an 'exotic', but a rarity none the less.

I agree with all the comments said above about the fact that people "want" the option of driving a V8 instead of a V6, not because they need them but because they enjoy them and can be more fuel efficient... and this coming from a lady's perspective, not only men have this need for speed and performance, but so do women!

GM's "improvement" is a sham. The money they are going to start repaying the government is part of the money they were loaned in the first place. In other words, it's how Bernie Madoff built his scam. The real shame here is that the taxpayers are bankrolling this group of incompetents with future tax dollars and tens of thousands of those taxpayers lost their money invested in GM when it went bankrupt. Hopefully GM will close the doors and liquidate before they have a chance to sell public stock again and scam another group of suckers.

Shucks, I could never figure any justification for McCain at all. He's a nut job and they only way the other Republican nut jobs could make him look like an intelligent person was to pair him with the queen of the arctic hillbillies.

Besides, anyone who listens to the Republicans know that they are out to kill the unions and turn all American workers into economic slaves.

More niche vehicles from a company on the way out, courtesy of Bob Lutz. As always, I'll be the broken record. If GM wants to survive, it must build vehicles that can compete with Toyota, Honda and Ford mainstream products without having to resort to massive incentives and gimmicks. With Lutz picking products, they don't have a chance. Public, kiss your $70,000,000,000.00 goodbye.
