After more than a year of trying to video the hard start issue, finally got it. Toyota says the extended crank/hard start issue does not exist. Toyota says it is normal, "all Corollas and Matrixs do this". If you have experienced this issue wtih your 2005-2008 Matrix or Corolla please contact Toyota and let them know.
