I have 1996 Nissan 300zx. Just changed out fuel pump &injectors and got it running again. My question is why is there exhaust coming out of only one side?

Car has to warm up before it will go in gear and will shut off when shifting to reverse or drive if not warmed up. Service engine soon light came on and gave code P0744. Any feedback?
