Now that I've owned this car for more than 6 months and drive it every day and work on it continuously for fun, I'm happy to report that this is by far a dream machine come true. I have been fixing up little things ( cuz it IS 20 yrs old) and changing out the black wire looms to RED and painting all the brackets and pulleys and such a DEEP RED METALLIC with lots of metalflake  Working on polishing the plenum top and will do the runners also. Replaced the "breadbox" dash pad with a "flat panel" and boy does that ever make it look great! I have sop much fun with this car and it gets LOTS of looks and positive comments wherever I go.  It's a real headturner. I'm getting 24 miles to the gallon around town and recorded 31 mpg on a 200 mile trip.  Tricked out the engine with a few horsepower adding "cheap" additions and simple to do that have it smokin' the tires on  demand, yet still performs the high fuel mileage act. of all the Corvettes I have owned so far this has to be rated at the top of the pile for FUN, EXCITEMENT, ease of working on, and just all around a joy to own.
