1999 Vauxhall Vectra review
A second hand bargin car at £400, my Vectra 2.0 is simply unbeatable value. Reliable, sturdy, comfortable, and get's away well from the traffic lights. So far I have had two failures with this car, both Bulbs. The indicator (rear) took less than one minute to replace.... BUT ! The bulbs behind the dashboard required a two and a half hour session, cut fingers and lots af rude words.
Excellent on the Motorway, it will sit at the limit (or above) for hour after hour maintaining fair economy and a quiet ride.
Thirsty around town, and visibility in the morrors is not perfect.
Pros —
Reliable, economical on long haul journeys, cheap to fix (used spares always available).
Cons —
A bit front end light in heavy cornering, and limited vision in the rear view mirror. Not so economical around town.
