Good Quality Work, A Bit Expensive But Does A Great Job — Understanding, Great Work. Honest. A bit expensive. Good customer service. I go back everytime to him. I used to drive 75 miles from home to his place because it is worth it.

Affordable, Conscientious Work. Highly Recommend! — I brought my van to Mike at Peterson Car Care when I thought I needed my battery replaced. All signs pointed to a bad battery, but Mike double-checked to be sure and caught the real problem. He then showed me the parts that needed to be replaced, explained why, and helped me prioritize my repairs. He seemed to go out of his way to try to save me money and make sure I knew what was really going on with my van. He earned my trust and I've gone back whenever I need anything. Highly recommend!

Excellent, Honest And Professional Service.diagnosis Is Always Right On Target. Never Regretted Taking My Car There. — I have been using Peterson Car Care for over 20 years, and have never, never regretted it. I come down from Evanston just to make sure my vehicles are in tip top shape. All work has been done properly, Mike and his crew are very courteous, and always let me know what needed to be done, how much and what options were available. He once kept a German Sheppard in a cage, but it was quite friendly. Later I believe he gave it away or took it home to his kids. I am a religious Jew and have never had a qualm about giving Mike, who is an Arab Muslim all my vehicular repair business. He is a "Mench" (Yiddish for a "real honest, responsible man")

Great Work At A Reasonable Price — I took my 1998 Volvo in for repairs after getting estimates in Evanston. He was consistently below the Evanston estimates, one time by as much as $600. He was honest and di excellent work. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. My car has 200,000 miles on it and he keeps it running like a new car. Are we talking about the same shop as the man who upset? There was not do never. I've never seen a dog in the shop. There was only courteous and wonderful people at the shop. I am very pleased with the service and tell everyone I know about it.

Cheated Me Out Of $2,000. Told Me Car Was Fixed, Took Payment, Would Not Refund Money. — I brought my Nissan 300zx in to have it inspected by this mechanic. He told me it needed a fuel pump, and said it would cost $500. I paid him, he told me he installed a new fuel pump, and then when I was driving the car down the street it started blowing white smoke everywhere. I took it back to this mechanic. He tried to inspect it, but would not tell me exactly what was wrong, which is probably because he could not tell. After two weeks he called me into his shop, told me the car was fixed. He insisted on taking payment from me before showing me the car. Once he got my signature on my credit card slip, he gave me the keys and left. The car did not start. He somehow got it started, and told me to drive it around for a while. I told him to give me my money back until he could make sure it was 100% fixed. He refused. After I got the car home, it never started again. When I tried confronting him about this, he avoided me. His secretary would tell me he was not available, and he basically hid from me to avoid taking responsibility. My opinion of this guy is very low. He has no moral character, he cannot diagnose cars properly, and if he makes a mistake he will not take responsibility. Moreover, I would be cautious of the other review - he might have written it himself (Kid friendly?! This guy keeps a caged dog in his shop to scare people). Avoid. Save yourself the headache.
