Worst Car-service Experience Ever —
Worst auto-service experience I've ever had, in 40 years of driving and owning a lot of different cars. Went in because the check engine light on my van was on. Was told it was an O2 sensor, and had it replaced. This took 2 days. On my way home from Ger-Brock, the light came back on. I took it back and, after another 3 days of having my van, they told me it was a wiring problem and they couldn't look at it 'til the following Tuesday as they were "very busy". I got it back for the weekend, then brought it in Tuesday; they promised to call me with a diagnosis. Two different days I called to find out the status and was told that the guy working on the van, was out but the owner would call me back as soon as he returned. Neither time did I ever receive a call. Finally they decided it was the computer and replaced that. A couple of hours after I picked up the van, the light came back on. So more than $500 and 2 weeks without my vehicle later, my problem is completely unchanged. The owner remarked, the last time I picked it up, that they had no idea what else to try, so I will not return there. Looking for a competent mechanic now...
Efficient, Friendly And Close-in North Portland —
I have been using Ger-Brock for about 15 yrs. They do the work that is necessary and never more unless you request it. I have never had any problem with all the work i've had done by them over the years. I feel like their prices are fair and above all as a woman I feel like I can trust them to not take advantage of me and charge me more or do repairs that aren't necessary. If you live in inner city Porland, this is the auto repair shop to go to!
