I went in for a slow leak on my 300zx.  There was nothing in the tire, it was a bead leak.  They took the tire off, saw that the chrome was peeling on the bead, so they grinded it flush, put bead sealer on it and remounted the tire.  $40 and shes ready to go again.  Then I come back for a suspension diagnostic because the previous owner said the front tie-rods needed replacing.  This shop then went and told me that almost everything was wrong.  The upper and lower tier-rods on almost every wheel was "dead".  The ball joints were shot.  The list went on.  While I was waiting for my suspension diagnostic I heard the mechanic tell a women "If I were you I would be scared to drive on the freeway!".  She came in for a new tire on her spare rim!  They then conned her into getting an amazing new tire that cost her way too much for her spare rim.  She only drove a jetta for pete's sake.  Then after my suspension diagnostic the mechanic comes up to me and says "If i were you I would be scared to drive on the freeway!"  He then told me what was "shot" and  that the estimate was $1600.  $1600!!  Ya right.  I went to another shop the next day, they did a suspension diagnostic, the only thing with any sort of damage was ONE tie rod, so I got it replaced for a total of $160.  My car has run great ever since, without a problem, let alone on the freeway.  Stay away from these guys!!!!
