Although we ultimately purchased the vehicle, we had to really fight to get the lowest price. When we test-drove the truck, the salesman quoted a price. I pointed out that his quote was higher than the quote on CarGuru, so he amended it, but then added $895.00 back on when we returned to the showroom. When questioned, he replied that, "Maryland allows us to charge that." He really put the hard sell on & became angry when we said we wanted to think it over. When we got home, we found out why the hard sell. There was an email waiting that had a third, even lower, price. Of course he wanted us to sign before seeing the lower quote. Although we had the email with the lowest price, they still did not give us the truck for that price. We negotiated a lower price, but the truck ultimately cost us $500.00+ more than the price quoted in the email. Being that highsight is always 20/20, we should have walked away from the negotiation and turned the whole thing over to the Maryland AG's office. We still may send this to the AG's office, because the email clearly states the cost of the truck plus $200.00 MD processing fee was the price. As we are from out of state, taxes and license did not affect the price; we paid for those items separately.
