“hese are good little cars that run and handle well, and are fairly cheap to run.”
This is my second 95 Jetta and I've loved both. The performance is good for a 2.0L and the mileage has been great -- mid-30s mpg on the freeway. Handling is good, brakes are fine. One annoying thing: fifth gear on my manual tranny is geared way too low. At 70 mph I'm revving at 3,000 rpm and the engine buzzes. Oh, and another thing: the timing belt...

so far back in the lot that there was no way I could take it for a test drive.
