was the valve cover gasket (smelled oil and leaking onto the engine)
other than that possibility i would've consider on purchasing the

"The dealership was very helpful and pleasant. I did purchase the 2012 Cadillac CTS. The only thing I was unpleased with was the car was given to me on empty. Whoever was driving the car at the dealership did minor damage to it's bumpers by hitting the yellow parking bumps in their parking lot. The dealer did remove the yellow paint. The back bumper has scratches on it but I think they are surface scratches. "
