Avg. Dealer Rating: (13 reviews) "I bought this car as is, and the next day I discovered some serious alteration to the engine air filtration system that required immediate repair (holes drilled in air intake housing which bypassed the air filter as well as having parts of the system removed). In my opinion the dealer should have known about this since they did do an oil change on this car, and a safety inspection. I called repeatedly, sent photos of the damage, and eventually got to talk to the manager. I went into the conversation with a desire to keep it pleasant, and to ask if the dealership would like to help me resolve this problem. Maybe the stress in my voice sounded like anger. What I received was condescending and insulting words from the manager with plenty of anger. He finally asked me if I would like to return the car. I stated that "I would." My daughter really desired to keep the car, so we had an inspection done on it at a local car repair shop. The car checked out alright with the exception of the air filtration system which could have, and eventually would have seriously damaged the engine. The air conditioning compressor has been bypassed by a shorter belt, (another thing that the dealer might have noticed). Three Bulbs were out, (this definitely should have been noted on their safety inspection). The drivers side door-lock will not work with the key, (they might have known about this too. It will cost about $80). In later talking to the manager to let him know I would be keeping the car, he did apologize when I related my impression of our previous conversation, and he did offer to replace the bulbs. I declined the offer since it is a fifty mile drive for me. The new after market K&N filter system cost $186 I did the install myself. New stock Honda parts were too costly, junk yard parts were too sketchy and time consuming to retrieve. I wasted a lot of time looking online and calling around. The A/C may be repaired by a belt, or it could mean that an $800+ repair is needed for a badly damaged system. We are thinking it could be a simple fix since the air cleaner problem was obviously the result of someone's attempt get get more power out of the engine (as might be the bypassed A/C compressor). I want nothing more to do with this dealership, and will discourage others away from doing business with them. While I can't positively say their intentions were bad, I do feel pretty certain that they cannot be trusted to do the right thing if any issues arise. I believe they are either to some extent careless or deceitful when it comes to their used car sales. An added note: The person that shows you the car is not the person you deal with, and the second person you deal with must leave the room to "ask if he can sell the car at our agreed upon price." Of course the answer was "no," but when we were about to leave the salesman was able to meet our price without having to run out to ask permission. It literally took hours of waiting around before we could leave with this used car that we payed for with cash. They said someone had gone home sick, thus causing the long delay (I'm skeptical). "
