This formerly clean & beautiful '83 Grand Marquis was purchased in rural Carthage, Illinois. I saw her sitting on the side of the road with a For Sale sign in the front window. After owning a larger car I missed the road feel and roominess. This had a 302 V8 with a lazy AOD transmission that wanted to shift into overdrive at around 25 miles an hour...

"Called to check the condition of a vehicle. I was told it had a few fine
scratches, you'd have to look hard to find them. The vehicle was beat!
Door dings, scratches all over the front and back bumpers and top of the
back lift gate. The headliner inside had a 3" rip in it. Showed us some
other crappy used cars and then a new top of the line Traverse. They
knew it was out of our price range, expected us to pay sticker price.
Wouldn't look for the past year model for us or other options that would
bring the price down. After we bought a traverse in Folsom 3 days later
the called to try and negotiate another deal."
