When we were ready to purchase the car, I scheduled a time to be there that same day. I had saved the car I wanted on the CarMax website and set-up notifications if the status of the car changed. After making arrangements to come pick up the car...that same day...I got a notification that the car was no longer available!! Needless to say, I went somewhere else to purchase a car. I ended up getting a brand new car for only $2,000 more than I was going to pay CarMax for a car that was over 2 years old!"

Dealer Rating: (1 review) "Not only did this dealership leave out important information about the damaged condition of the vehicle, (when confronted via email, the owner told me he 'forgot' to relay the info to me), but when trying to contact the dealership, I specifically requested to be contacted via text and email, and the owner's son called me at work 3-4 times a day. The owner son kept saying he didnt have my email information, yet he somehow got my phone number from my initial email to them, and I received an email from the father/owner after my terrible experience. In order to see the car I was interested in, I had to take time off work unpaid, and when I arrived, the son low-balled an offer for my trade in, but that's typical of most dealerships. What bugged me was that I spoke to the son over the phone regarding my trade-in and he told me he wasn't experienced enough to quote me a price, that his father quotes the cars, but his father didn't deem it important to be there for my appointment. The owner wasn't there, just his son, and he asked me if he could copy my license for a test drive. As I followed him across the parking lot towards their office, the guy kept stopping abruptly and kept giving me weird looks over his shoulder as if to say "Why are you following me?" Uh, you need my license don't you?! As we walked back to the car, he then had the audacity to ask me to go fill up their car with gas! They knew what day and time I was coming and they didnt even bother making sure the car had gas in it so I could test drive it. TERRIBLE SERVICE! I gave him back his temporary license plate and car keys & told him I'd changed my mind and was no longer interested in a test drive. When I emailed the father/owner to tell him of my experience, he attempted to guilt me by telling me that his son has epilepsy and doesn't have a license and therefore couldn't put gas in the car. Am I the only one who is wondering why the gentleman was left alone to run the dealership then? Why didn't the owner better prepare for my arrival by gassing up the car? Why didn't the owner schedule my appointment for a time when he would actually be there to handle the important tasks? Why wasn't the owner up front and honest about the vehicle's issues before I wasted all my gas, time and pay driving out to his dealership? I will never return to this dealership and advise others to stay away."
