“Past it's best.”
Bought this shabby 2.4 litre Mk 1 in 1966 for £95 and ran it for 18 months. Very quiet and decepively quick. My grandmother - who hated going fast - fell asleep when I was doing 100mph on the M1. With leather seats and real wood dashboard, it felt very luxurious.
