If you run out of battery, you have to operate the clutch differently and the car runs slow. Otherwise it can get up to 65 Miles per gallon on the highways. In the city it is more like in the 50s which isnt bad either.

"Minus one star!!! They had us go all the way out there to see a Toyota Matrix they said they had a few hours ago and when we got there they said they had just sold it - even though they knew we were coming from Norman and had an appointment - they never called us to let us know it was sold. Then the only vehicle they were interested in showing us was a white Matrix - totally not what we had gone out to see - the advertized vehicle was a charcoal Matrix. This is not an honest dealer - they use the bait and switch theory. Even now, 7 days later, they still have the charcoal Maxtrix listed for sale on line. Don't buy from this dealer!"
