The Finance Manager first told me I was approved then called me after I signed an put money down. Had the car for already a week when I was called back saying I wasn't approved. Unless I put 10,000 down. I was ready to give the car back until my car sales went an asked the main boss if he could find me a bank that would finance me. Thank god he did. I'd been looking for a LOW MILEAGE, used, Cadillac CTS or STS for the comfort it would provide my wife on our frequent 500 mile round trips to Stanford University Hospital. Luckily I stumbled across CAR GURUS and RICHARDS CHEVROLET. The format and options of the website make it easy to search AND compare products. Richards only has two salesmen on their used car lot, the manager Scott and his associate Garardo. Frankly, the lot is a little "small townish" and the sales office a little... well, let's just say you know you're not in a L.A. BMW showroom; and actually it's a GOOD thing. I have over 30 years experience in retail, real estate and mortgage sales and these two guys could teach the fancy schmancy big name dealers a thing or two when it comes to how to treat a client. We all know the car game, the dealer starts high, we come in low and the negotiating dance begins. At Richards, these two men didn't play that game. we were always treated with respect, curtesy and got straight answers to our concerns and questions. This may be a 'small town' dealer but what poeple don't realize is that many, many of their clients are ranchers in the area that own very, VERY large farming operations and THEY CHOOSE to buy their vehicals from Richards when they could go anywhere else to do business. That alone speaks to the integrity of the dealership. So, was I surprised at the quality of service...Yes Was I happy with the deal...YES Would I do business with Scott and Garardo again...YES."

When I got there and saw the car it was disappointing. The tires were garbage there were cigarette holes in the seat, it was dirty, had dents along the door and trunk, and blankets and a cooler in the trunk, and a broken ac vent. When I asked about the condition of the car all they would say was "well it's 6 years old" my car is 10 years old and in way better condition with only a few thousand miles more. Other cars were just as bad. Most needed body work and they just seemed overpriced for the body condition and internal condition. The guy who was helping me didn't even know the prices to the car or what other cars they had. I felt like they wouldn't let me leave and kept offering things I didn't want like tinted windows, when what I wanted was new tires. I wanted the body fixed and then they wanted to bill me for it in the total price of the car. I would not return here or tell people to check this place out."
