We bought our Escape new back in 2002. It now has almost 300,000 km on it (yes we drive a lot!!). For the amount of miles we have put on this vehicle it has stood up well, and I have no major complaints. The only chronic issue seems to be with the brakes. "Between the time that we talked to Courtesy Ford regaurding an Escape and test driving it (which was 4-5 days) they jacked the price up on us. They told us this after we had driven 45 minutes to look at it. I took a half a day off from work to go and look at it. They wasted half of my day and if I can cost them one customer from buying a car, then I think it would be worth it."
