Talked to salesman everyday on the phone for two weeks trying to get together so we could buy this car. We live 300 miles from there. The day we arrived at our appointed time, he was busy with another lady wo was purchasing a car. Another man came out and said that our salesman would be with us shortly. 2 hrs. later, he was still in there with the young lady and we were getting restless. Then the second man came back and said I just pulled your new car up front for you to look at. We looked out the window and said "that's not the car we came to see". To top it off, the price on the window of this car was approx. $22,000. I told him ours was to be $12,500. The entire deal was based on the fact that our '06 VW Beetle TDI had a retail value of $14,000 and the original salesman said that we could probably trade for $1000 or less if our car was as nice as I described it. My whole idea was to get a car 4 yrs newer with half the miles and gain a 2 year warranty, all for less that $1000. Never got to meet our salesman. My wife got in our car to come home and I went in to see the manager. He told me yes, that was the car and that he had NO cars on his lot for $12500. I informed him I still had the ad on my computer at home and as soon as I got home I would email it to him. He said it could only be on there if some hacker did it. When we got home the ad was there but the place where the price had been was shaded out and in its place was "contact dealer". I later realized that I had taken photos of that entire ad with the $12500 price showing along with all specs and serial number of the car. I still have the proof. NOW GET THIS. It has been nearly 2 months since this all took place. I am disgusted and trying to get over it when this last Friday Oct 26, the original salesman called my cell phone and said "Where did you go? I am still waiting to show you that Jetta!""

Found some that were even priced $1000.00 over their internet "salesprice". Salesman (Dennis) asked us to "give him a few minutes" while he filed some paperwork. After almost an hour, it was apparent he was in no rush to sell us a car. The wait was not in vain, however, as it gave us the opportunity to witness customer after customer walk out in disgust after their own salesman tried the "bait and switch" moments before signing on the dotted line. One of those salesman, after failing to seal the deal, spent the next several minutes making personal phone calls (loudly debating which bootleg DVD he'd watch later on that night) while customers stood around waiting for someone to help them. When I approached this guy and asked him if he had a minute to show us a couple of cars we were interested in, he said, and I quote, "uhhhh, ummmm, No I don't have time. I THINK my manager MIGHT have something else for me to do". There are plenty of other dealerships in the area...don't waste your time on this one. "
