But they let the manager take the car home for the weekend, so it wasn't there when I arrive. One of the sales guys offered to give me money for gas when I came back the next day. I asked for gas money for the day I arrived and did not intend to come back, why would I. They refused to offer me anything for my 1 hour drive to their dealership. I expected a sincere apology from someone on Monday, but that never came. Poor management, communication, and service."

The $150 fee to "back out" of the deal was "automaticaly included" in the the sale price, the warranty package I negotiated was initially set up incorrectly as the basic plan with the finance guy; the DMV [paper work had to be corrected; the post-dated check was deposited by mistake on Monday and I had to place stop payment ($30 bank fee); and I have to go back to sign 2 more forms that they didn't have in the sales documents. But, they were responsive and was able to negotiate a bit on the traede-in and warranty; plus I did get a good deal on a used Avalon. It was the car, not the dealership which brought me to OC Fiat. You gotta pay attention to the paperwork to make sure the deal you made is correct - at every dealership"

Avg. Dealer Rating: (1 review) "Floyd Perry, one of the best car salesman I have ever dealt with. I have bought dozens of new cars but was trying to help get my Father something decent to drive. I told Mr. Perry the situation of my Mother passing away in August and that my Father was her care giver for the past eight years and in by doing so had really got himself in a mess financially and had ruined his credit. I had checked with a few other dealerships as well as my Fathers credit Union and had no luck. He started showing me a few used vehicles but before our conversation was over he had moved to a new Elantra Coupe that he wanted me to take to my Dad about thirty miles away and keep it overnight. When I brought my Dad back the next day he picked out a very nice Elantra Sedan that he liked better. It was a bit more but Mr. Perry went to bat for him and got him in a brand new 2013 Hyundai Elantra with very affordable payments, something I didn't think could happen. If you have a circumstance and trying to get a car seems hopeless, I suggest you go see Floyd Perry at Keith Hawthorne Hyundai in Gastonia/Lowell. It may not happen for you but if you give Mr. Perry an opportunity to try, he will work hard to make something happen. Very pleasant experience and one that took a lot of stress off of my family.
